Expectant Mothers

Pregnancy is a difficult time in a new mother’s life; not just because you are growing and supporting a new life, but because your body is continually changing and adapting to the demands of the life growing inside of you. Even at the moment that you conceive, chemical changes begin to occur that prepare your body for birthing and supporting your child.

Common symptoms throughout these 9 months include:

  • Aches and pains
  • Headaches and bloating
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Sciatica

Your options are very limited for relief, as taking medicine, even over the counter pain relievers, may be harmful to your child. Chiropractic care is extremely safe and gentle, and is recommended by the American Pregnancy Association. Dr. Rittenberg has received extensive training in perinatal care, and is certified in the Webster Technique.

The Webster Technique is a specific Chiropractic sacral analysis and adjustment that is used to restore optimal movement and biomechanics in the pelvis, and remove any interference to the nerves of the pelvic region. Dr. Rittenberg has a special table and pillows to allow women to lie face down comfortably, and without any increased pressure on their abdomen.
